Important Information for Candidates
The Online Application Portal of Union Public Service Commission for registration and filling of application form online has four modules. Three modules namely Account Creation, Universal Registration and Common Application Form are common for all examinations. The fourth module is Examination Specific and can be filled during the time period mentioned in the notification.
Applicants must apply online through the website: https://upsconline.nic.in
After registration, a Universal Registration Number (URN) will be generated which will remain common for all examinations of the Commission. After filling the examination specific form, an Application Number will be generated which must be retained for future communication.
Candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully and prepare necessary documents before filling the application form.
Applicants are strongly advised to use their Aadhaar Card as ID document for easy verification.
1. Candidates to Ensure Their Eligibility
Candidates must carefully read the rules of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2026 notified by the Government. Admission at all stages will be purely provisional subject to satisfying eligibility conditions.
Issue of an admission certificate does not mean the candidature has been finally accepted by the Commission. Verification will be done after the candidate qualifies for the interview/personality test.
2. How to Apply
Candidates must apply online through the website: https://upsconline.nic.in
Applicants must provide necessary information and upload documents including:
- Date of Birth
- Category (SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen)
- Educational Qualification
- URN and Common Application Form details
Failure to submit required information/documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
Note 1: One-Time Edit Facility
The Commission provides a one-time facility to update the URN profile. Changes will apply only to applications submitted after the update.
Note 2: Live Photo Capture
Candidates must upload their photograph and also capture a live photo while filling the application form.
Note 3: Uploading Signature
Candidates must sign three times on white paper using black ink and upload the scanned signature clearly.
2.1 Withdrawal of Application
Candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their application after submission. No corrections will be allowed after submission.
2.2 Photo ID Requirement
Candidates must have one valid Photo ID such as:
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Any Government issued Photo ID
3. Last Date for Submission of Application
31 March 2026 till 06:00 PM
4. Issuance of e-Admit Card
Eligible candidates will receive an e-Admit Card on the Commission website before the examination.

No admit card will be sent by post.
5. Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be negative marking for wrong answers in objective type question papers.
6. Representation Portal for Question Paper & Answer Keys
Candidates may submit representations on questions or provisional answer keys within 5 days after the examination.

8. Change of Scribe
Candidates using a scribe may request change of scribe up to 7 days before the exam date.
9. Mobile Phones Banned
Use of mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, storage media, cameras or any electronic equipment inside the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
10. Reporting at Examination Venue
Candidates must reach the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the examination. Late entry will not be allowed.
11. Face Authentication
All candidates will undergo face authentication and identity verification at the examination venue.
