- Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) – Ranipet, Tamil Nadu
- Heavy Plates and Vessels Plant (HPVP) – Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
- Electronics Division (EDN) – Bengaluru, Karnataka
- Solar Business Division (SBD) – Bengaluru, Karnataka
- Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (HEEP) – Haridwar, Uttarakhand
- Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP) – Hyderabad, Telangana
- Heavy Electrical Plant (HEP) – Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
- Transformer Plant (TP) – Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh
- High Pressure Boiler Plant (HPBP) – Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu
Important: Candidates must choose only ONE manufacturing unit and ONE trade. The notification states that selected candidates must serve at their allocated unit for at least 20 years, with no transfer request entertained during the first 20 years.

4. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess all the following qualifications in the respective trade:
- Class 10 (Matriculation).
- National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI).
- National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
- Minimum marks in BOTH NTC/ITI and NAC: 60% for General/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates.
- Qualifications must meet the notification's requirements as on 1 October 2026. Only full-time regular courses are considered.
Desirable: Knowledge of the regional language for units in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and Karnataka, and Hindi for other units.

Maximum age, including applicable relaxations, must not exceed 56 years as on 1 October 2026.
7. Category Relaxation and Reservation
- Reservations are provided for UR, EWS, OBC, SC and ST categories as specified for individual units.
- PwBD and Ex-Servicemen provisions are subject to the notified unit-wise and post-wise details.
- OBC reservation benefits apply to eligible Non-Creamy Layer candidates.
- OBC (NCL) candidates must produce a qualifying caste certificate issued on or after 1 January 2026, as required by the notice.
- EWS candidates must provide the prescribed certificate valid for financial year 2026–2027.
- PwBD reservation generally requires a disability of at least 40% and the prescribed certificate.
Category reservation and relaxation are subject to the conditions and documents specified in the official advertisement.

9. Selection Process
- Stage I – Computer Based Examination (CBE): Candidates appear for the examination in their respective trades.
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test based on CBE marks and the prescribed category-wise ratio.
- Stage II – Document Verification: Eligibility and certificates are verified.
- Skill Test: Qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on CBE scores for candidates who satisfy document verification and qualify in the Skill Test.
Minimum CBE qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS and 30% for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, subject to the specific PwBD and Ex-Servicemen provisions in the notification.

- Select only one manufacturing unit and one trade.
- Upload the required certificates and documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable fee and processing charges, if required.
- Submit the application and retain the confirmation and payment receipt.
12. General Instructions
- Applications are accepted online only through the BHEL careers portal.
- Only one manufacturing unit and one trade may be selected. The CBE is scheduled on the same day for the advertised vacancies.
- If multiple online applications are submitted by the same applicant, the last submitted application will be treated as final.
- Enter your name as it appears on your Class 10 certificate and verify all details before submission.
- Keep your registered email address active for at least one year.
- Incomplete applications or applications that do not satisfy eligibility conditions may be rejected.
- Selected candidates are subject to the prescribed medical standards.
- Eligible candidates must produce the required original certificates during document verification.
- Employees of Government departments, autonomous bodies and PSUs may need to apply through the proper channel or submit an NOC as specified.
